Fairfield Psychological Associates, P.C.,

is an independently operated psychiatric practice. We are community based and enjoy good working relationships with many nearby physicians and schools. We understand that anyone is vulnerable to a life crisis or a family conflict. Starting with that first crucial phone call to our office, we try to guide our patients through that first appointment and the start of treatment. Our philosophy is to encourage the total health and well-being of our patients. Therefore, we offer family therapy when indicated, as well as medication consultation. We advocate for our patients whether they are struggling with the stress of a school problem, a work conflict or a legal situation. 

Fairfield Psychological Associates, P.C., provides confidential outpatient services to children, adolescents, and adults. We are centrally located within the Virginia Beach community.  For your convenience, as well as quality of care, we offer comprehensive services. This includes Evaluations and Screenings for ADHD and Aspergers, as well as Medication Evaluations and Management. We have a Psychiatrist and Nurse Practitioner on staff for this purpose. In addition to Gary Rotfus, LCSW, Psychotherapist and owner. 

We pride ourselves on trying to guide our patients with warmth and understanding, while at the same time maintaining a high level of professionalism. To help accomplish this goal, we are fortunate to have Ms. Rita Wanamaker, as our office manager. She has several years of experience working in the health field within our community. It is safe to say that your first contact with Fairfield Psychological Associates, P.C., whether it is to inquire about insurance or to make an appointment, will set the tone for your treatment.

This outpatient psychological and counseling office is a private practice. We provide a wide range of treatment services for children, adolescents and adults dealing with emotional conflicts and psychiatric problems. The practice has been in  operation since 1990 and has grown to become highly regarded. This is exemplified by our many long-term referral relationships with physicians, attorneys and insurance companies. Our practice and our associates are participating providers for most insurance companies, including Champus, Anthem, Optima, Aetna and United Health Care.
