Joseph Lee has been an entrepreneur and business owner for 9 years. He has earned a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems with a minor in Project Management and a Master’s in Cyber Security. His information technology career started back in the early 90’s by accepting a contracting position with a temp company to support the Mayors’ office in Washington DC. From there he accepted a secondary IT opportunity a few months later with a major law Firm in DC, and shortly thereafter his career expanded to BAE Systems as a government contractor. In 2005 Mr. Lee accepted a job offer from Symantec Corporation, a major software security company, and worked there for seven plus years learning the tricks of the trade in information security. By the end of 2012, a major career change was on the horizon as Mr. Lee decided to rebrand a property management business that he owned and bring to life what is known today as JLGOV LLC. An Information Technology Professional Services and Solutions company by the spring of 2013. JLGOV LLC is headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mr. Lee’s background experience weighs in at 20+ years in the IT field and covers disaster recovery, continuity of operations, network and cyber security. This has provided him insight, experience, practice, and capabilities to perform within this industry and field.
Mr. Lee has spent the past four years developing, sustaining and obtaining various company certifications needed to grow the business, market to potential partners, clients, and employees. JLGOV is a Virginia SWaM and DBE small business, certified SBA 8(a) firm also holding a current GSA schedule #70 and Navy Seaport-e small business prime contract holder. JLGOV’s business operations and consulting experience showcases our proficiency as a primary service source, focused on IT business process operations and innovative solutions for technology services, remote monitoring and management, cyber security assessment, project management, information assurance, cloud services and intelligent procurement services.
